AUTHOR GUIDELINES
JLD is a bi-annual publication, aims to explore new vistas of development in the areas of Library and Information Science(LIS). JLD invites original works. The authors should ensure that they have written entirely original works, must not have been published elsewhere. Their work has not been copied or plagiarized in whole or part from any other work and if the authors have used the work and/or words of other’ that this has to be be appropriately cited or quoted.
They are responsible for language editing before submission Authors should submit only papers that have been carefully proof read and polished. Before submission please make sure that your paper is prepared using the journal paper template. This will ensure fast processing and publication. Acceptance or rejection notification will be sent to all authors.JLD Invites
Original research Survey / Review articles, providing a comprehensive review on a Library Science topic.Fast Communications : Short, self – contained articles on ongoing research.

JLD, biannually published journal. Aims to explore the new vistas of development in the
areas of Library and information science (LIS). JLD invites original works focusing on
technical, economic, social, policy and professional aspects in the area of LIS. The work in
the form of literature reviews, conceptual papers, technical papers, case studies and book
reviews are considered for publication.
Review process
Each paper is reviewed by the editor and if it is judged suitable for publication, it is them sent
to at least two independent referees for peer review.
Copyright
Articles submitted to the journal should not have been published before in their current or
substantially similar form, or be under consideration for publication with another journal. Use
this in conjunction with the points below about references, before submission i,e. always
attribute clearly either indented text quote marks as well as make use of the preferred
American Psychological Association (APA) style of formatting. Authors who submit articles
for publication must warrant that their work does not infringe any existing copyright and they
have to indemnify the publisher against any breach of such warranty. For ease of
dissemination and to ensure proper policing of use, papers and contributions become the legal
copyright of the publisher unless otherwise agreed. The editor may use plagiarism software to
check the originality of submissions received.
Third-party copyright permissions:
Prior to article submission, authors must obtain permission to use any content that has not
been created by them. Failure to do so may lead to lengthy delays in publication. The
publishers reserve the following rights.
1. Non-exclusive rights to reproduce the material in the article or book chapter.
2. Print and electronic rights.
3. Worldwide English language rights.
To use the material for the life of the work (There should be no time restrictions on the re-use
of material). When reproducing tables, figures, or excerpts (of more than 250 words) from
another source, it is expected that authors obtain the necessary written permission in advance
from any third-party owners of copyright for the use in print and electronic formats of any of
their text, illustrations, graphics, or other material, in their manuscript. Permission must also
be cleared for any minor adaptations of any work not created by them.
If an author adapts significantly any material, the author must inform the copyright holder of
the original work. Authors must always acknowledge the source in figure captions and refer
to the source in the reference list. Authors should not assume that any content which is freely
available on the web is free to use. Authors should check the website for details of the
copyright holder to seek permission for re-use.

Final submission

The author must ensure that the manuscript is complete, grammatically correct and without
spelling or typographical errors. Before submitting author should check their submission
completeness using the available article submission checklist. Proofs will be emailed prior to
publication.
Manuscript Requirements
Please prepare your manuscript before submission, using the following guidelines:
Format: 
Article files should be provided in only Ms Word format, double-spaced, in 12-pitch font,
Times New Roman.
1. Article length: Articles should be a maximum of 7,000 words in length, exclusive of
references and appendices. Please allow 280 words for each table or figure.
2. Article title: A title of not more than eight words should be provided.
3. Author details: All contributing authors’ names should be added to the submission.
Correct e-mail addresses should be supplied for each author.
4. Biographies and acknowledgements: Authors who wish to include these items should
save them together in a Ms Word file to be uploaded with the submission. If they are
not included, a brief professional biography of not more than 100 words should be
supplied for each named author. 
5. Research Fundings: Authors must declare all sources of external research funding in
their article and a statement to this effect should appear in the Acknowledgement
section. Authors should declare the role of the funder or financial sponsor in the entire
research process, from study design to submission.
6. Structured abstract: Authors must supply a structured abstract of not more than 250
words. The abstract should present the purpose, methodology, key findings,
limitations, implications and value to be filed.
7. Keywords: Authors should provide appropriate and short keywords.
8. Figures: All Figures (charts, diagrams, line drawings, web pages/screenshots, and
photographic images) should be of high quality, legible, and numbered consecutively
with Arabic numerals. Figures created in MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, and
Illustrator should be supplied in their native formats.
9. Tables: Tables should be typed and the position of each table should be clearly
labelled in the body text of the article with corresponding labels.
10. References: References to other publications must be in American Psychological
Association (APA) style and carefully checked for completeness, accuracy, and
consistency.
